Why do I get kicked off after sending or receiving e-mail?
If you get kicked off after checking your e-mail, it could very well be a setting
in your e-mail program. Some e-mail programs have a setting which automatically signs you
off after you send or receive e-mail. To check if this setting is selected in
Outlook,
Outlook Express or
Outlook 2000 corporate
(if you do not use these programs, but still think your e-mail program is at
fault, please give us a call during business hours), please follow the instructions below:
Outlook
1. Open Outlook, and go to the Options section under Tools: |
 |
2. When the window opens up, check under the
Mail Delivery tab to see if the Hang up when finished
sending, receiving, or updating box is selected. If it is not, click "OK," otherwise
make sure to unselect it, then click "Apply," then "OK." This should
keep you from getting signed off in the future after your mail is
sent or received. |

Outlook Express
1. Open Outlook Express, and go to the Options section under Tools: |
 |
2. When the window opens up, check under the Connection tab
to see if the Hang up after sending and receiving box is selected.
If it is not, click "OK," otherwise
make sure to unselect it, then click "Apply," then click "OK." This
should keep you from getting signed off in the future after your mail is
sent or received. |
