Using the Dialup Accelerator software
1. After you click the Start Using Propel Accelerator button in the setup process,
you will be taken to the Propel software page for a quick tour. It is HIGHLY recommended
that you take the quick tour as it will provide you with information about setting up your
booster. This tour will help you maximize your acceleration, identify how fast you are going
and it will give you specific information about what the program does and does not accelerate.
2. As a side note, every time you dial up, the propel software will ask you to verify your
installation. You do not need to click on that link, unless you want to take the tour again.
If you do not want to review the tour, you can go directly to Internet Explorer or Netscape
and begin browsing.
3. When the software is properly working, you will see the blue propeller down by your clock
in Windows. As you browse the Internet, you will see the propeller turn into 2 arrows flashing
white and blue .
4. If you have the propeller icon but it has a yellow circle with red x in it, there is a
problem with the software. If you click on it with your mouse's right button, it will tell
you what is wrong.
5. If the displayed message says Propel Accelerator: disabled. Authorization denied,
you have either not dialed into Sierra Advantage with your full e-mail address (Refer to
connecting and installing software) or the
Sierra Advantage staff have not added you to the server yet.
