Ingredients: |
1 can of sauerkraut, rinsed and drained well
1 whole chicken, washed, dried
Optional:
Brown sugar sprinkled over sauerkraut |

Directions: |
Rinse and drain kraut well to remove salt Sprinkle brown sugar
over kraut Stuff the whole chicken with the kraut, like stuffing
a turkey.
Put small amount of broth or water in bottom of crockpot, then
place whole stuffed chicken in the pot. Put lid on pot, turn
heat to high for 30 min. Then cook on low for 2 hours or more.
Meat should fall off the bones or cook less time to serve the
whole chicken on a platter like a turkey. |
